Why is recession an opportunity? Because recession is the best solution to reduce inflation, almost without exception. The Federal Reserve often starts to cut interest rates quickly to deal with recession, and stops shrinking its balance sheet early to stimulate the economy, and starts expanding its balance sheet in the later stage of the rate cut. This is when the risk market rises sharply.
