i've been debating on dipping my toes in the vinyl waters because of this. i miss the tactile interaction with music where each purchase felt meaningful.

What gear do you have? Seems quality of turntable + speakers would make a big difference.

bought a daftpunk vinyl once, didn't hear any difference with a digital lossless version

not that much into it but every now and then i enjoy ~the ritual~ of putting on a record and consciously listening to it back to back

I find it cool to collect, (don’t have a collection yet lol)

Discovery as well... I love finding gems in thrift stores... by "gems" I mean 1) albums I already love or 2) records that just don't exist elsewhere.
It isn't an obsession for me, just a side quest.
