there actually was a way to organize all the voting stuff into something that feels much more healthy in the long term: proportionally based on the amount of votes each hacker got. it was so simple that i missed it, but it is what feels best. 25 farcaster users voted via frame, and here are the results:

just now catching up on how things are going with the weekly hackathon @jpfraneto.eth could you please clarify how the voting worked for week #1? it looks as though my submission was excluded entirely from your voting process -- and as I mentioned, I couldn't vote at all https://warpcast.com/shomari.eth/0x8c126852 (if this was because of my broken vid, then I guess I understand, but I did link to it directly in the channel) anyway, congratulations again on your upcoming new addition πŸ₯‚

hey hey. it is not that your submission was excluded from the voting process. it was not there because you didn’t get any vote basically what i did was to count the amount of times that a given hacker was on the first preference of the list of someone that voted, and arrange those on a list I have been processing since this happened how bad a mechanism it was, and there are many lessons learned about it. im sorry that you didn’t get any vote, and hence none of the proportional part of the prize pool (i ended up deciding to give it away proportionally based on the amount of votes people had) if this is not clear let me know please
