i make myself available in various places online 24/7 with basically the only stipulation being that i can block the unstable people my persona inevitably attracts cannot imagine using FC to replace Twitter without blocks, especially as DAUs flood in itβs disheartening to see them keep conflating mutes with blocks

a mute is not the same as a block because the person can still reply to your posts with everyone else able to see except you. if anything it is worse because you are not aware that everyone else can see the reply, and there is a certain type of unwell person that gets enraged when you do not interact with their reply

Strongly with you on this. Maybe instead of βblockβ as itβs understood you want a βhard muteβ, as in the person canβt interact with you in any client that honors your preference. And if they interact elsewhere itβs suppressed for everyone in those contexts.

Oh c'mon, you're not so important that I sought you out. I laughed because you in fact did block me on Twitter (not a mute, not conflating shit), and I never cared for a second. I got a laugh from the sheer fact that a new platform means I see you in my feed again. Chill the f out dude, lol
