If newborn’s bassinet is in your bedroom, how does your partner manage sleep?

Right now we have the bassinet in the baby room and there is also a bed for an adult to sleep there. Whoever is looking after the baby can use that. 

Wondering if we should move the bassinet to our bedroom. We do miss having him by the bed side sometimes

I kept mine in our room until she was about 4 months. It can be hard to put them in the other room alone lol
