I love taking photos of cute signs. In Japanese the word pig is bura (boo-rah) so I think that’s the play on words here. In American English, a “boo-boo” is an injury and you’d use it with small children: Did you fall and get a boo boo? Let me get you a bandage and kiss it and make it all better. “Boo!” is also what a ghost says when it’s trying to scare you. Languages are weird.

“Booboo” in Japanese refers to children calling cars “booboo,” so I think it combines the meanings of “the piggy’s booboo” and “cars” into one!
