"The right to be represented by a bot" needs to become a fundamental right for all humans. We need to be able to mediate our interactions with systems through AI that we trust. I also cover this idea in my book The World After Capital https://worldaftercapital.gitbook.io/worldaftercapital/part-four/informational#bots-for-all-of-us

Wondering what the legal difference might be between being represented by another (human) party and being represented by an AI bot. Or indeed, being part-bot per cyborg.social. πŸ€” The regulatory framework feels less of a challenge however .v. the sociotechnological, i.e in terms of: β€” Subjectivity β€” Contexts β€” Meaning β€” Plurality β€” Human identity processes β€” Living systems And so necessarily from an interpersonal rather than merely personal perspective. I'm inclined towards Gary Marcus' insights into the capabilities and shortcomings of LLMs. Connectionist-symbolic hybrid approaches will be required if we're not to merely abdicate or delegate life (Wiener 1954, Mumford 1964).
