Creating a channel is rolling out in stages on Warpcast! 

 1. Click create channel in the left sidebar (mobile)
2. Choose a unique name  
3. Pay the channel fee in warps   

If you don’t see it, try updating. If you don’t have warps, get some on web.

I noticed the name of the channels are capped at 32 letters, is this so it fits into 1 uint256 for onchain maps? I would think it’s a coincidence but the description is 256 characters so it felt related to utf8 and unique names. Probably a small and technical question but I just made a channel so it was top of mind.

Well the user name is 16 so thats probably the map key with some additional 16 letter padding (for versioning, specifying user type etc)?

i just thought it was a reasoanble sized power of two :D
