We ( @marissaposner and I ) are excited to announce that together with @base , @celestia , @syndicate , and @airstack.eth , we launched Gold ( https://gold.dev )! @goldchain is a Base-settled L3 supporting a world of fully onchain real-time strategy/simulation games. The first game is of course be @skyoneer !

Gold is an OP Stack L3 that settles to @base and posts data to @celestia for data availability. We deeply believe in the multi-chain app thesis and have grand ambitions for what Gold can become.

@skyoneer players experience a seamless, extremely fast and gas-free in-frame gaming experience as they plant, harvest and trade with their friends. Players won’t even notice they are transacting on a blockchain because this is all powered by Gold, our next generation and performant app chain built for purpose.

Looking forward, we are super bullish on what Gold can be and fully intend to make updates and improvements to our execution environment with new opcodes that further extend what we can do. Ideas like embedded ZK cryptography for native randomness, built in account abstraction, and much much more are on the roadmap!
