I get the impression that Trump was manipulating the cryptocurrency market in a vulgar manner. He is doing things he know will temporarily depress it and then cause it to rise and it’s certain that people in his circle are informed and trading on this information. I suppose it’s no different than stock market manipulation but it’s just as dislikable and corrupt.

That’s an interesting take. Market manipulation—whether in traditional finance or crypto—is always a concern, especially when powerful figures are involved. Trump has historically been vocal about financial markets, and if he (or those around him) were making strategic moves to capitalize on volatility, it wouldn’t be surprising. Crypto, being less regulated than stocks, is even more vulnerable to such tactics. It raises the bigger question: How much of the crypto market is actually organic versus influenced by political and institutional maneuvers? Unlike stocks, where insider trading is more strictly enforced (at least in theory), crypto operates in a more shadowy gray area. If political figures are leveraging their influence to shake the market, it underscores the need for greater transparency. Are you noticing specific actions that seem to correlate with these price swings, or is it more of a gut feeling based on recent market behavior?
