Even his early content (only stuff I bothered reading to form an opinion), he relied heavily on varieties of fact laundering (mention several things in quick succession which are commonly accepted as true, but sneak in a controversial thing in the middle, then later lean on that controversial thing as standalone).

I agree, I usually end up breaking replies into 2-3 which messes up threading (and half the time the person I'm interacting with misses one of them). Half the time I'll just start DM'ing instead, but then the public conversation is cut off.

A solution that would probably satisfy nearly everyone: Top-level posts are length-limited, replies are not. Replies is where the length limit does the most damage: Debates become increasingly lossy, people talk past each other more, and resorting to the only thing that is short: dunking on each other.

Do "Are you over 18?" prompts hold legal weight for liability for porn sites? Should crypto frontends have "Are you sanctioned?" prompts?

The next cohort of the Ethereum Protocol Fellowship is open for applications πŸ“ This is the closest thing to a "core dev bootcamp" that exists: get paid to work on L1 R&D for 5 months, mentored by existing contributors, and meet everyone in person at EthCC & Devcon πŸ”₯

Maybe adjacently: What if tainted funds pay for gas of an ENS that sets up a pointer to a non-tainted primary address? (Is this a way to troll people?)

Question: If a Safe wallet contract is created with gas paid for by tainted funds (e.g. Tornado Cash), but funds going in/out of the Safe wallet are otherwise untainted, do the funds going out also get tainted? What if the signers on a Safe are from tainted addresses?

For decades, people screamed that companies are "selling our data" when generally talking about advertiser targeting. Now companies are actually and literally selling our data, to AI companies for training. Not sure what the lesson is, but those two things seem very different to me.

What's a discriminating policy/philosophy do you think crypto left vs right folks hold, which we could use as a proxy without resorting to semantic labels?

Mmm I like those. The recovery case is just one though, it can be used for any other signer scenario too. Even for yourself. It can replace using a hardware wallet for signing safe transactions.
