Nope, the claim is that having money does not reduce likelihood of grifting. I can see an argument that there may be a positive relationship between being obsessed with accumulating wealth and having wealth, but I'm happy to just settle at a neutral "let's not correlate these things at all" middleground.

In my experience, wealthiest people are least likely to grift. The next tier down are the highest likelihood. Very hard to get super wealthy off grift; possible to get wealthy off it.
