I feel that tiered content pipes are inevitable, similar to DM inbox design. I think of it as similar to a mempool design: We have a feed of ~everything with 2nd+ degree filter/sorting, but when you bless/interact with something then related signals (sender, thread, 2nd degree) get promoted to primary feed.

Maybe a decent proxy for deriving a power badge is some threshold for pagerank of being present in peoples' primary feeds?

Primary reasoning is that we have tiered interaction desires. Sometimes we have the energy to sift through junk (dopamine seeking behaviour, possibly related to foraging), other times we just want to catch up on things we already interacted with in the past.
