I have been avoiding writing about my goals because I didn’t want to be confronted with the reality of having to actually make a decision as to what I want, and then holding myself accountable to my own decisions. What pleasantly surprised me this time around was how firm but kind I was to myself writing my letter. The format I used was a letter to myself 5 years from now. That was very nice, because ordinarily I am very hard on myself, and I have never considered myself kind to me. But now I realize I have the capability to and I should continue to foster that.

I imagine there would be a short description of responsibilities (feedback on quarterly reports, 6 month board calls?), and a fixed term (1 year?). Then could invite people to serve for a year... Would be a neat experiment!

I would love to do that but I’m scared of disappointing my friends 😔 that’s even scarier than disappointing customers

I kinda imagine it as a default group of people who will review rough drafts of things, give feedback on hot takes for life decisions, and generally encourage!

Yeah. I can imagine it as a once a month meeting or lunch w everyone and then I just talk about my problems LOL
