Is Google actually using Go there now? Last time I checked it was like a handful of small teams.

A doodler and computerer. I like permissive/permissionless open source, smart contracts, p2p systems, room-scale VR, and NixOS.

Go is used at Google mainly for infra and tooling so Cloud and Core are the product areas that use it the most IIRC.

At Search and YouTube I mainly used it for data pipelines since the library for processing the logs and computing metrics and slices were all written in Go.

Most teams are just stuck in C++ or Java and don't even consider other languages.
