99% of users don't care about decentralization. Developers care about decentralization. Users want to be entertained or make money.

100% of users don't care about decentralization until their centralized thing inevitably gets a change in management, then 100% care about decentralization suddenly. Maybe the difference is that developers get to experience the pain of centralization a bit sooner, since all regimes are default adversarial to them.

IMO nearly all users want to do some form of long-term gardening, whether it's building a community or fostering a space ("third spaces"). This requires ownership/permanence, and repeatedly gets rugged/interrupted by centralized providers.
