Trying to explain ZK to a designer with no programming or crypto experience, how'd I do?

A doodler and computerer. I like permissive/permissionless open source, smart contracts, p2p systems, room-scale VR, and NixOS.

I would have been more succinct and describes it to a designer as ZK is like a color swatch book. It proves you have the right color without showing the entire palette or revealing the exact formula to get that colour. It verifies authenticity while maintaining creative confidentiality.

I don't think they are in a place to care about "how" it works mechanically (most non-cryptography people aren't), more about what it is and why we should care about it.
