Ok crazy idea but hear me out: Make Farcaster compatible with atproto, become the first full alternate AppView to BlueSky with sovereign identity on ENS and built in payments and mini apps.

You'd be surprised! I mean you're right about the sentiment but I think a bit part of it is meeting people where they are. The biggest criticism of BlueSky from its users is lack of a credible alternate AppView. It's a hefty piece of infra and if BlueSky disappears it's unlikely that the network will continue to operate. MM might be well positioned to take a counterposition here (with x5 more funding no less). If it's compatible, messages would federate and there's no risk in trying out all of the special perks you get from using the Farcaster AppView ecosystem (ENS, payments, miniapps, etc). Positioning would need to be nuanced but I think we're getting to a very compelling offering here even for non crypto natives.

I think that the Snapchain model has better devex and decentralization guarantees. Applying a tax on using a public good (the chain / appview) prevents spammers from flooding the network. Where we diverge in thinking is that bluesky thinks the experience of paying to use a network is bad and unsolvable ux. I agree that it's bad, but I think it's solvable and getting better every day.
