Well that’s a shame. Can’t say I’m surprised though. Appealing to old-school conservatives, many of whom are tactical enough to vote Trump to get what they want signed into law, or racist enough to not elect even their most favourable candidate in the form of a person of colour; was such a stupid strategy. To think, if Kamala had pushed more progressive, she would have almost certainly won. Shame.

I honestly believe that Kamala performed as best she could, I don't think there is any magic sequence of words she could have said to materially change the outcome *especially* in the last weeks. Maybe if this was months away and she came off as a completely different person from the start, who knows.

I think he campaign team’s strategy, spending weeks ignoring progressive questions while shaking hands with some of the most hated people in politics (Cheney, Clinton) hurt her in predictable ways. I think the way that during the debate and several interviews she conceded to right wing framing that migrants are committing violent crime (not even true to any meaningful degree compared to citizens) hurt her with democratic voters. And by never once saying anything concrete about the validity of Palestinian existence while constantly repeating the same three or four lies about October 7th, and then ignoring the question of whether America will respect international law lost the left, muslims, young people, and the antiwar community. I don’t think she did anything well, personally.
