It's a great article. I think it really explains well the nuance of the strategy and some of the potential things that can go wrong, and noticeably the ways it can go wrong are completely different from what most people are talking about. I think the one wild card that Trump has in his favor is actually Crypto (USD stablecoins specifically). Probably the only way that he can devalue the dollar against existing foreign powers is by starting to sell the dollar into Crypto stablecoin USD bond markets. The next few months are going to be interesting!

What suggests that Crypto is a winner in all this to me is that the stablecoin, DeFi, and market structure bills are moving in at absolutely breathtaking pace to get implemented. I think once we see this happening, there's going to be a generational wealth moment, at least in regards to Bitcoin (and to some extent Ether and probably Sol)

I feel like the grasp of economics is far more important to understand here. To Trump, crypto will be a useful tool (that happens to make money as a nice side effect)
