It's a great article. I think it really explains well the nuance of the strategy and some of the potential things that can go wrong, and noticeably the ways it can go wrong are completely different from what most people are talking about.

I think the one wild card that Trump has in his favor is actually Crypto (USD stablecoins specifically). Probably the only way that he can devalue the dollar against existing foreign powers is by starting to sell the dollar into Crypto stablecoin USD bond markets.

The next few months are going to be interesting!

The US strategy right now is to make deals with allies and then approach China together for leverage in negotiations.  The issue is that China’s response is to do the same thing, gather allies and isolate the US as we are seeing with the Spain headline and the EVs in the EU
