I woke up this morning in Tokyo to 2 casts from @dwr.eth regarding future of Farcaster

As a developer building on Farcaster, I found them to be a bit contradictory, unsettling, & overly defeatist.

Agree, success of Ethereum is direct consequence of core devs deciding to focus on protocol eng and supporting 3p devs building apps on the platform (never competing). Resulting in the most vibrant community in crypto by far, supported by ecosystem of independent enterprises invested in its success (cf other L1s) @dwr.eth

I guess fundamental q is whether team wants to prioritize FC protocol or WC app - not sure you can truly do both without compromise
