The reason to be skeptical about all policy solutions and to think that there's just a deeper problem is that you look at all America's problems today, crime, drugs, the border, problems in education and probably all problems and they're not hard problems. They all have very rational explanations, and very rational solutions and you would still probably have 40% of the country and more than half of the elected people wanting to do nothing about it.

Looking at this as a Nordic person after a few years spent working in the US, currently neither party is interested in any of the methods that have helped elsewhere 🫣 Obviously issues also in Finland but somehow still apparently we’re happier than any other country year after year despite paying hefty taxes 🤷🏼‍♂️

Finding the solutions is not the issue, its people with special interest/hidden motives, who are trying to capitalize off of the situation. Whether its politicians, private contractors, Wall Street… You know the saying “dont let a good crisis go to waste”
