Have you seen apps use NFT minting or ownership to purchase and access software? What’s the most common way in web3, both for monetizing one time purchases as well as SaaS subscriptions?

We’re doing it at bildr.com… still experimenting with the details… right now the NFT gets you lifetime pro account + unlocked features, but we’ve got a bigger saas-focused plan on the tokenomics page.

Interested in the economics of secondary market (you guys take royalties?) vs new minters. A typical Web2 SAAS cancel would stop paying but now could sell their NFT. As a result you have new customers coming in at a discount. Not dissimilar from used video game sales/purchases except with the royalties option.

We have the luxury of a business that charges a base subscription plus overages based on usage. So even if people come in at a discount, they skip the base fee and get special features, but they still pay for hosting overages. We do have royalties set but see very little action on secondary anyway.
