Interesting, but I like MM-DD-YYYY for the date. 
Variations cause confusion for everyone

I could have been clearer earlier. I do see the benefits of YYYY-MM-DD, but I personally prefer MM-DD-YYYY, probably because I'm from the US, and we like to be different. 😀 

I am in favor of establishing a global standard to reduce confusion.

YYYY-MM-DD is the one variation that does not cause confusion!

If you say "04/01/2024", some people think you mean Apr 1, others think you mean Jan 4. If you say 2024-01-04, there's no ambiguity.
