The Laughing Cavalier is a portrait painting by Frans Hals, a painter of the Golden Age of Dutch painting. This work was created in 1624 in the single-face genre. This work has been referred to as "one of the most brilliant portraits of the Baroque period". This work is now owned by the Wallace Collection.

The unknown subject is not actually laughing, but it can be said that he has an enigmatic smile, which is greatly enhanced by his raised moustache.
