Alamut Castle is located in the Alamut region of Qazvin, northeast of the village of Gazerkhan , about 105 kilometers from Qazvin . Alamut Castle is one of the historical castles of Iran, many parts of which have been destroyed and some remains remain. The castle is located on a cliff 2,163 meters above sea level, the cliff is 200 meters higher than the surrounding land, and the area of ​​the castle is 20,000 square meters. This castle was considered the central base of the activities of Hassan Sabah, the founder of the Nizare Ismaili government (Hashashin), and their other leaders.
