incredibly candid response by jesse. curious to hear others on this one: how do you think the industry's perception impacts our ability to deliver on crypto's full potential, both in terms of technology and culture?

It probably impacts its potential by influencing investment and regulation. A positive view favors supportive regulations, and wider acceptance, while a negative perception can hinder progress. Improving this industry's perception can definitely unlock crypto's full technological n cultural potential, dunno if you get me

We could be more thoughtful in our naming conventions. Degen for instance. Try and explain lifestyle vs L2 vs L3 vs chain vs etc. Cannabis has the same problem has it’s a battle to educate and capture the imagination without losing folks.

Sales reputation has always been like this. eg, used cars & swindlers. When knowledge is sequestered behind KOLs “high follower count” that knowledge is further dug into an abyss because it’s not easy to access. This is why we made Mental Wealth Academy.

It’s a very steep hill that this industry needs to overcome, and it won’t be easy or quick thing to do. All the scandals, scams, frauds in the media don’t help to improve its public reputation. Even just mentioning word “crypto” can cause visceral reactions in some people.

It's just simple, the industry has no choice but to accept crypto, which in turn will positively affect the community , ut it depends on people that are in power
