Upcoming channel changes

We're *previewing* some upcoming changes so people 1) can understand and 2) provide feedback.

These changes are not launching yet. It will be a couple weeks. There will also be a bunch of communication to channel owners.

spent some time thinking about this today, i really like the move. upstream of it all, it' is a forcing function for better quality posting. at the cost of increasing friction to post, it significantly increases the quality of the network for all. all subgroups of the network become invite-only, great!

Here's the concept for an open source frame that would do this.

Make it configurable for developers to start. And then easy enough for someone comfortable with Claude or Replit.

Then eventually make a full fledged no code tool.

yep - already thinking "holders of nfts can invite 10x/mo", "invitees can invite 1x/mo", "active members who received 100 likes this mo can invite". offloading the 'quality caster' problem to those closest to the problem is pretty clever.
