Yeah it is interesting how the US took a lot from British institutions common law, political structures, even cultural attitudes but then evolved in a way that allowed it to surpass the UK. Meanwhile the UK lost its empire struggled with economic shifts and hasn’t really found a new identity as a global leader. It is a stark contrast.
