I am pausing my activity on Warpcast for the foreseeable future due to the current issue with large number of bots.

Recent posts over the past few months have received hundreds of likes and recasts coming mostly from bots.

Sad to hear that, I’ve always enjoyed your posts. 

There are a lot of bots that keep trying to get into Farcaster because of potential airdrops. All of them pay money to sign up. 

Bots can earn hundreds of dollars of tokens, so they have a lot of incentive to come here, much more than Twitter. 

We’ve spent a lot of time fighting bots and developing machine learning algorithms to flag spam. It’s not perfect but we will keep improving it.

One of the experiments we are planning to do is host a competition where agents give sybil score to millions of wallets and have human methods judging sybil in subset! Then we rank agents and pick a winning model to gets it weight assigned to a million+ wallets! 

This is inspired by what we are already doing with deep funding by Vitalik — where AI aligns with human experts to fund core repos! 

I think there is a use case for this here! Would love to chat more with you to see if that’s the case!
