There is a gap in mindset you have to bridge between executing a given task and paving your own path. Have you ever read Arendt 'the human condition'? Quite enlightening in this respect. My god it's scary! but worth it

Can recommend. Long story short, humans 1. need to survive 2. relate to a persistent world 3. are not alone These conditions correspond with 1. labour (consumption) 2. work (creation) 3. action (manifestation) Depending on your focus, you live and perceive the world very differently.
