The premise is flawed because the US is no longer a liberal democracy, it's an oligarchy/plutocracy and an inefficient one at that Not surprising that system may lose in competition with a more systematic, organized form of command-and-control economy that doesn't need to maintain a facade

Got to similar conclusions so far, really looks like one to me - because of how little choice people have and all those institutions like SEC and others that highly benefit certain kinds of people vs most of the country

Don't think it's about maintaining a facade though, but about a lot of resources being spent on noise coming from people of different backgrounds, religion and views - which have nothing do to really with our biology, human needs and growth. And then all of it getting through a bureaucracy that's slowing down things

agree, question is would it be the same if we move onchain and everything becomes permissionless and transparent I think corporations would struggle since everyone could start business right away without lobbying politicians for decades

It would probably help, but not sure it would fix the main problem if we keep govt and political campaigns working the same way Right now it's already fairly transparent that special interests are funding political campaigns, and then in office the politicians serve those special interests who got them elected

so your take is that it’s hopeless? I think things will change once crypto is adopted Like this year trump takes crypto donations, which means anyone in the world, even without a bank account can basically vote for him with money lol
