I think there is less contradiction between these than it might seem. We need more "return to cypherpunk roots" on some axes (eg. L2s getting to stage 1, inclusion lists, light clients...) and more UX focus on some axes (most notably, making cross-L2 more seamless).

The space can and will do both Within a couple years I think we can achieve stage 2 L2s with seamless, gasless UX
