I lived in this cottage for a month in the forest of British Columbia. It was the coolest place I've ever lived. BUT, it was also totally dysfunctional with so many problems and the landlord only cared about how it looked and not if it was a functional residence (i.e., none of the windows opened ). The highlight was that there were also mice living there and one ran across my head while I was sleeping. The IDEA of it was cool though. Yeah.

Yeah, I thought about borrowing a cat, but there were no pets allowed, which is ironic. 😂 I gave my notice I was moving 2 weeks after I moved in. But the funny story is that the friend who said that I could borrow a cat said it might still keep me awake at night because the cat would be hunting and killing them. I trapped some of them with mouse traps, but the other issues made it a no-go.
