A lot of companies “act” open. Signal is an open protocol, but the servers are private. Whatsapp is closed. iMessage is closed. Telegram is closed. No more back doors. Everything is open with XMTP. The future must be open if we want to ensure privacy and security. Let's build.

Why? Signal is centralized. What he’s talking about - xmtp - is a decentralized (and private) alternative Seems like a lot of people are waking up to the issues of TG right now. Could be a good moment to migrate
