The new Ghostty terminal is excellent — https://mitchellh.com/ghostty — still in private beta (it's open source but gated access right now to keep bug reports to a manageable pace). Hang out on their discord to get an invite. Coming from Kitty — Ghostty is just as fast & is much more "native" (i.e. native emoji)

iterm2 is great too and has more features than both (Kitty is very bare bones — I expect Ghostty to surpass iterm2 though eventually on features). I left item2 a while ago though as its latency could get pretty bad
