I’m always curious abt folks that don’t have the phone icon in their dock. Where do you keep it, for when you need to make a call? I don’t call a lot but I feel like I need it just in case

I do as much as I can with search.

If I’m calling someone I know (almost always my wife), I search their name and hit call.

If it’s a place that appears on Maps, I search the name and hit call.

Otherwise I search for the Phone app and type in the number manually.

My home screen is totally blank, and my macOS dock has no pinned apps.

Search for everything makes the most sense to me as I can reliably type what my mind is thinking 100% of the time instead of memorizing (sometimes guessing) where an app icon is on my screen.

That makes sense! I might have to try that. I use search a lot for other stuff.
