I used to do this too until I realized more often than not I was burning the tea! Now I steep it in as long as listed on the bags, usually 30-120 seconds, set it aside, then once I drink the tea I'll pour myself a second cup and place the the teabag again. Tastes way better this way!

I always multi-pour hot water -> over tea bag pour result -> over tea bag again turn tea bag over pour result -> over tea bag again pour result -> over tea bag again <drink>
