Saw this ad and my first thought was what if I could teach my son to write in Helvetica? Papyrus? IBM Plex Mono??

When I was a kid I remember reading a book that had a nice typeface and I promptly switched my writing to match. I was *supposed* to make boring "a"s but I liked the ascender look. My teacher eventually gave up LOL.

Once I saw handwriting that I liked so much that I learned to write just to make mine look as similar as possible. At first, it was really hard, but eventually, I mastered that style. However, after a few years, I went back to my original handwriting. In the end, whatever doesn't come from within eventually fades away.

Ok now I am wondering how long it would take to retrain an adult to write in a font.
