hi this is a running quote thread about my experience downgrading from Pixel 6 to a Pixel 5a bc I did not properly secure my phone before trying to hit a jump

first off, I'm excited to go from the big 6 with a case down to the naked 5a. small phone gang rise up. 

it's slower though.

Yup the “just works” philosophy is why I’ve had a hard time leaving Apple.

ethOS caught my attention as someone who is very Ethereum native at this point but there’s irony in feeling like a second class citizen in crypto products when you’re not on iOS 😩

mmm, I thought about it, but I've been addicted to "it just works" lately so I've gone with stock Android right now. i had ethOS installed (from back when the 5a was a supported device), but wiped it clean because I needed a quick restore of my data and USB transfer wasn't an option.

maybe eventually I'll ROM it (I have a special fondness for the days of squeezing half an hour of screen time out of a custom kernel) but today I just want a phone that I don't pay that much attention to.
