It's misguided to say elitist (I would say focused) but I do think there's great irony in crypto supposedly championing decentralization, financial freedom, and adding a new primitive to digital content,

yet most crypto products are made by people who are
- using the latest iPhone and Macbook Pro
- metropolitan living
- high speed connected
- creating 1mb+ React apps to show a landing page
- English only speaking

and are inaccessible to the people who stand to benefit most from the new systems they're supposedly creating.

I think these product decisions are largely driven by seeking profit (as dictated by VC funding) which means targeting users with disposable income, yet the most ironic part of all this is is the stigma against poorer users for going maximizing their behaviors literally just to seek profit

Almost nobody on the product side actually wants decentralization, if they did they would build different products than they actually build. I'm really demoralized about the political state of crypto.
