70% replying to people in meaningful ways. 30% casting to smaller channels. 100% being yourself and casting like someone you want to connect with. If you cast like a bot, you’ll attract bots, etc. * I've been here since 2022 and built up very slowly, was fortunate to snowball followers once the floodgates opened.

This is so helpful. It can get discouraging casting to no one. Just trying to find my people! But I do still crack myself up, so it's not a complete loss haha

The nice thing about replies is they start a very direct connection with a person, even if they don’t respond back at first. Given time I think effortful replies are hard to go unnoticed; whereas low effort replies may get blended in with bot-like accounts.
