Over my lifetime I have been in more heated arguments with men (who don’t typically cook) over what should and should not go in the garbage disposal.

I don't mind the occasional clean up of scraps, but having had to replace a disposal because it was rotting inside from food was not fun

Rice, quinoa, vegetable scraps, beans, spoiled leftovers, just yucky kitchen things!

Ok yech. I suppose if I had an experience like that, I would be different. The thing is, I’m pretty careful and never had a problem
