I built on solana back in 2022 and it was honestly a great dev experience, just couldn’t stand the culture after a while. Might have to give it another shot.

I’ve had the opposite experience fwiw. No culture of verifying contracts, heavy reliance on 3rd party APIs to index and parse transactions, low quality infra providers. But it’s where the users are rn

Imo it was stuff built by metaplex like the CLI above. Stuff was much more structured but also more centralized, so there was that trade off. Wallets like Phantom were ahead of its time, the transaction speed was awesome, etc. It wasn’t all flowers and sunshine but as a noob it was pretty crazy how much I could build.
