Anyone have experience running their own time series database for exposing analytics back to customers (i.e. not purely for internal use). Thinking about giving frame developers much more detailed analytics on their frames, and exploring one of a few options.

How did you like it? Any operational concerns? Was deploying the system manual or automated?

Manual deploys - it was not often updated and it was an internal team dashboard so automation would have been overkill. We also used Statsd which I also liked working with.

Final gripe is some of the documentation felt lacking. This was around 2020-2022 so maybe it has improved more recently

Overall 👍 However there were inconsistencies where certain stats wouldn't display properly at reasonable granularities. I've seen similar issues in other Grafana instances such as with the Quil node Grafana. I can't tell whether it's a common misconfiguration or a fault of the system.
