Just another annoying gripe about rewarding top level casts vs replies: Channels have been described as a stage, which would make replies the crowd. If you are only rewarded and recognised when you’re on the stage but then never allowed to get on the stage, why would you show up to watch who is on stage? This maybe something for admins and owners of channels to be conscious of rather than something that needs to be ‘fixed’ by protocol. When popular channels are locked down with no easy way to join this makes it harder for sprouts to get visibility and rewarded because they can’t necessarily start the types of discussions that we are saying are valuable. It starts feeling like gate keeping and could demotivate participation in your channel.

You will need to either 1) Make it easier for people to join your channel so they can get on stage 2) Ensure the people on stage are very compelling
