Kamala Harris follows just 722 people on X, and I am one of them. Knowing that I could just DM her and she actually might see it is making me ponder what message might be worth sending. It's a fun puzzle. Haven't solved it yet, so I guess I won't send anything. Yet.

This is like the marshmallow experiment. The DM button is just sitting there, ready to be clicked at any time. A test of my patience to come up with something truly worthy to say. 🧘‍♂️

This is pretty neat @schulkin you should definitely send something before the election is over. 

Either way you’ll lose a lot of intangible value after it’s over.

Perhaps... but I think what I would have to offer wouldn't likely be something that could help her win, but rather something awesome she could do while governing...

I see what you mean. I guess my feeling is that the most interesting opportunity is not to address an issue that she already knows about. Any issue that she understands fully already, she already has an opinion. Uphill battle, since she already has trusted advisors. Perhaps it’s more interesting to introduce her to a new issue, and get a new topic on her agenda. Like if I introduce her to some ideas about the metacrisis, that gets her thinking in a new way that evolves her thinking in other areas….

What I mean is, if she loses then you no longer have close contact with a potential future President just a former candidate. If she wins I imagine the level of noise goes way up as the President and she’s probably not running her own Twitter account.

But I agree that potentially moving her opinion on a topic 0.01% now that may impact a governing decision later is the best hypothetical use of such a connection.

Of course most people here would probably say crypto policy. 😁
