Until now, crypto has presented its societal benefit in terms of who GAINS: Individuals, investors, artists, developers, etc. But so many people hate crypto. I think this framing may increase the stickiness of the narrative that it is all about gains for scammers and hackers. I wonder how public perception would shift if crypto spoke more in terms of who LOSES: banks, bureaucracies, middlemen, title insurance companies, oppressive regimes, etc? Would “going negative” catalyze a useful perspective shift? 0 reply
