We bought a Volkswagen ID.4 to replace my clunker. It's pretty great, but still getting the hang of it.

What you need to know about this decision and brand choice is that if this were maybe 5 years ago, I guarantee this would have been a Tesla. I was the biggest fanboy of that brand you could find. But, for reasons you can probably guess, things have changed.

And honestly, having test driven Teslas in the past - I think this is better.

2024 AWD Pro. Not S though. As much as I liked the features of the S trim, it was a little pricey.

AWD Pro with the bigger battery is a nice sweet spot I think.

Had our ID4 for 1.5 years now, love it! Did a road trip from coast to coast last year, kept commenting about how comfortable it is.

I wish for some software improvements which they've been bad about releasing, but would probably buy a future version again if they improved their software practices.
